Given the ongoing situation in Israel, we want to provide you with a security update and reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of all of our members is our top priority.

Maccabi Victoria are in regular communication with CSG and each week they are reviewing all clubs’ schedules and assessing the risks. CSG has asked generally that each team organises an additional volunteer or parent to be present at training and games, to keep their eyes and ears open for anything suspicious.

From a basketball club perspective we ask that all teams/parents do the following:

- Please make sure that each team has a parent on duty at every training session, and that teams training on the same court are not sharing parent on duty responsibilities. This will ensure that we have sufficient number of parents at all of our training venues to attend to the regular needs of our players, and also to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.

- Please make sure you have downloaded the JEAP app and saved the CSG number (1300 000 274) in your phone.

- If during training or games you see something that you are not comfortable with, report it via the JEAP app or call CSG.

Most importantly, the advice from CSG is that we must continue to live our Jewish Way of Life. This is the most empowering thing we can do at this time.
