SUMMER SEASON 23/24: TRAINING STARTS THIS WEEK

Shana Tova! We hope all our players have had a wonderful break and are excited to get back on court. Summer Season 23/24 will be another big one for Maccabi Basketball Victoria with 86 Teams entered into competition across two Associations. We are delighted to have a record number of Parent Coaches joining the Maccabi Basketball Coaching Program this season who will help encourage and support over 680 players in having fun, developing their basketball skills and build life-long friendships.

KEY SEASON DATES:

Season runs from Monday 2nd October 2023 – Sunday 24th March 2024
Training starts from Monday 2nd October 2023
1st Games: THIS WEEKEND 7th & 8th October 2023
Season Break: Monday 18th December 2023 to Sunday 28th January 2024

GAMES SCHEDULE:
Your Team Manager will update the ‘Events’ section of Stack Team App with this information.
Waverley has released their fixture for the first three grading rounds. It can be viewed via this link:

COMMUNICATION:
Communication throughout the season will be via Stack Team App. If you have not done so already please join your child’s Stack Team App Team chat ASAP. In addition to requesting access to your child’s Team chat please also join the below groups:
WAVERLEY ASSOCIATION – “Waverley Summer Season 23/24”
MCKINNON ASSOCIATION – “Mckinnon Summer Season 23/24”
If you are new to Maccabi Basketball and don’t have a Stack Team App account yet please follow these instructions:
In Apple store Download Stack Team App (iphone users) or Google play (android users)
Join Maccabi Basketball
Click on the settings icon (top right hand corner of the App) and request access to the group of the association your child will be playing in (listed above)
Request access to the team chat for your player’s team. The team chat is used for communication within the team and for posting training times and game times in the EVENTS section.

TEAM MANAGERS:
Team Managers have been assigned to ALL teams. 30 Teams have Team Managers that have yet to make contact with their Team via their Teams chat group. Please do so today. Your Team is relying on you to setup Parent on Duty Rosters and add Game schedules. If you know who your Team Manager is and if they haven’t made contact please give them a polite nudge. This role makes a big difference to the experience of the whole Team.

UNIFORMS:
If you placed an order prior to Thursday 24th August please collect your uniform:
MONDAY 2nd October 4-6pm: 80 Orrong Crescent, North Caulfield
CLASH TOPS (No. 0 or 1): please return washed in a labelled bag (address above)
